Katelyn Bouthillette a senior at the Woodlands High School signed her letter of intent to row with the University of Texas Women’s Rowing Team on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. A celebration was held in her honor the following Saturday. Her coaches presented her with a traditional gift of a pen. Coach Dee, “It is customary to give a signing athlete a commemorative pen to sign their letter of intent with, even though we live in the electronic age and Katelyn signed her letter electronically, Coach Joe and I felt it important to keep this tradition alive. She will use her pen throughout the rest of her senior year and through college to remember our pride in her and what she has accomplished!”
Katelyn, although new to rowing, has demonstrated her athleticism and competitiveness. She will be a tremendous asset to the Longhorn rowing program! She will be competing this weekend at the Texas Championships in Austin.
