LEARN TO ROW

Learn to Row (LTR) classes are geared toward those with either no experience or those who need a refresher course. It doesn’t matter how young or old you are; all you need is a desire to learn and have fun. Learn to row classes can last anywhere from one day to a few weeks and typically take place in the summer months.

Inquire below for the next available class.

Masters

A rower may compete as a masters rower from the beginning of the year during which he or she turns 27. Masters rowers are then placed in categories A to M, ‘A’ being an average of 27 years or over, and ‘M’ being an average of 89 years or over. Depending on the age they turn that year, the masters rower will then compete against others with the same average age in the respective category. The average and minimum age of a crew competing excludes that of the coxswain.

The aim of a masters rower can be everything from recreational rowing to competing at regattas.

juniors

Juniors is a co-ed sculling team for high school athletes.

Athletes learn leadership, teamwork, confidence, and accountability in addition to the physical benefits of increased fitness, cardio, and strength.  We compete at a high level each year in regional and national championships and our athletes are routinely recruited to some of the top collegiate programs in the country.

Athletes can join the team as early as 8th grade and can compete starting their freshman year.  We do not require previous rowing or sculling experience and host two Learn to Row camps each summer: one week in June and one week in July.
