Board Member Update
Please welcome Kathleen Catlett, Gonçalo Reis, and Kathleen Youngman to the Board as Members-at-Large.
Kathleen Catlett has been a faithful boathouse volunteer for the Masters group, opening up the boathouse on a rotation of Sundays she shares with Walter and Bob Yap. She has been elected Secretary. She can be reached at kcatlett@woodlandsrowing.org.
Gonçalo Reis is a very active master who rows 3-4 times per week. He will join our treasurer, Eulalia, on the finance committee. He can be reached at goncalo@woodlandsrowing.org.
Kathleen Youngman is spearheading the Masters Learn to Row program. Her team just completed the initial sessions for five new master rowers. She can be reached at kathleeny@woodlandsrowing.org.
Executive Director Update
The Club thanks Gary Godfrey for his work as an Executive Director. He will continue as a Board Member-at-Large.
Kevin Fruehwirth, Lauren Kohn, and Bob Yap will join Ken Torrance as Executive Directors. Ken will continue to act as the lead Executive Director, and our new additions will specialize as follows:
- Kevin Fruehwirth (kevinf@woodlandsrowing.org): boats
- Lauren Kohn (laurenk@woodlandsrowing.org): juniors’ program
- Bob Yap (boby@woodlandsrowing.org): masters’ program
Executive Directors serve the Club by implementing the Board’s decisions and working directly with the coaches. If you have questions regarding the Club, you may wish to contact an Executive Director for a quicker response, as the Executive Director team is available for phone calls and emails between Board meetings. Think of the Board as the legislative branch and the Executive Directors as, well, the executive branch.
